We began this work because we saw what happens when small communities are left unheard — when land and water are treated as expendable, and when rural families are asked to pay the price for decisions made far away.
What started as a fight for justice in our own backyard became something larger — a movement to protect the heart of rural Ontario itself. Through our environmental mission, we’ve witnessed the flooding, the loss, and the silence from those meant to help. We’ve also seen the courage that rises in ordinary people who refuse to give up.
The Protect Rural Ontario Foundation was born from that courage. It stands for everyone who has written letters, called for accountability, and defended their home when no one else would. We are here to ensure those voices are never ignored again.
